The Chicago Bar Association's Young Lawyers Section is in the middle of its Violence Against Women Awareness Week. And the men are invited to participate by trading in their workout shoes (shown above at the group's Most Fit Lawyer competition) for high heels and literally Walk a Mile In Her Shoes. It's a one-mile walk through the Loop to raise awareness about the cause and effects of sexualized violence. Details »

SAVE THE DATE: JOHN MARSHALL REUNION
The John Marshall Law School is welcoming its alumni back the weekend of June 7 for reunions and a host of other events. Included on the slate: the "State of the Law School" on June 7, a gala on June 8 that benefits scholarship and faculty, and outings to take in a Cubs or White Sox game. The school's alumni association will also meet to hand out scholarships and welcome new officers. Details »
THIS ... IS KARAOKE 'IDOL'
The Asian American Bar Association Law Foundation and the Asian American Bar Association of Chicago are celebrating Asian Heritage Month with a karaoke competition on Thursday. The catch: For $20, you can make someone else sing a song — although you can get out of that with a $40 donation. If you want to sing for prizes, it's free with your ticket — $25 at the door, $20 in advance, $10 for students. Details »

Holderman will receive the Abraham Lincoln Marovits Award at Wednesday's Lawyers Lend-A-Hand to Youth Spring Awards dinner at the Four Seasons Hotel, 120 E. Delaware Place.
